How to Apply

You may apply if you currently have an Artist Portfolio at absolutearts.com OR if you're just getting started on the web.

If you already have an Artist Portfolio with absolutearts.com, you will need to make sure that you have at least four images uploaded and your artist statement completed. Of course if you have an exhibition history and links to other sites where your work is featured, this will also be considered. The jury will review your existing portfolio.

If you DO NOT have a portfolio with absolutearts.com, but have artist info at another website, you will need to make sure that you have an artist statement/bio and at least four works of art for the jury to review. This other web address must be filled in on the application. The jury will review your work from this address.

If you do not have an Internet presence, you may mail four slides or quality photos and artist statement/bio via the postal service to Premiere Artist Portfolio, absolutearts.com, 3678 Loudon Street, Granville, Ohio 43023 USA. (All mail in applications will need to be accompanied by the application fee as a check or money order for US$25.00. Please make payment out to World Wide Arts Resources). NOTE: You will be responsible for the setup and administration of your own portfolio if you are selected. If you would like your materials returned to you, be sure to include a self addressed stamped envelope.

How much does it cost?

The only fees are for your application and a yearly administrative charge of US$100. If you sign up for the credit card processing option sales will be charged a 20% comission.

The US$25 jury fee will be charged for your entry. If the jury does not select your current submitted work, you will receive a regular artist portfolio for six months for free.

Payment will be accepted online via our secure server using Master Card, Visa, American Express or Discover. You may also fax your credit card info after printing out the online form. Fax it to World Wide Arts Resources / absolutearts.com at 740.587.4103. Payment may also be made by sending check or money order for US$25 to: Premiere Artist Portfolio, absolutearts.com, 3678 Loudon Street, Granville, Ohio 43023 USA.

After the selection deadline, you will be notified of your application's status. Your new Premiere Artist Portfolio will then be available for login. At that point you will be asked to submit payment for the Premiere Artist Portfolio. Again, payment will be accepted by Credit Card on or offline or by check or money order for US$100.

After you have been selected you will have 30 days to login and make final payment. If you do not activate your portfolio within 30 days, you will forfeit the $25 jury fee.

All application and portfolio fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Portfolio applications are non-transferable from one artist to another. Any violation of this policy will lead to the deletion of the portfolio from absolutearts.com / WorldWideArtsResources.com 's servers.

Sue Spaid - Independent Curator formerly with the well known Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Sue's longtime and very active engagement in the arts on a museum, gallery and educational level makes her expert opinion a very valuable asset to the selection process.

Rebecca Ibel - Owner of Rebecca Ibel Gallery, Columbus, Ohio. Rebecca has directed and owned galleries internationally over the past 20 years. She has represented contemporary American artists while maintaining a strong connection to the international arts community. Markus Kruse - Owner and founder of World Wide Arts Resources / absolutearts.com. Markus holds a B.F.A. in Art History, an M.A. in Arts Administration and a Ph.D. in Art Education.
